Summer 11 Awards Day



The Summer Trimester at the Tennessee Technology Center at McKenzie ended with Awards Day on August 25th. The ceremony, organized and sponsored by the campus-wide Student Senate, was held at the McKenzie Cumberland Presbyterian Church and led by the Center’s director Dr. Brad White.

A total of 43 students received there diplomas or final certificates and numerous others were recognized for completing certificate levels during the Summer 2011 Trimester. Also recognized during the ceremony were students who were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, and students who attained Perfect Attendance.

The students who completed requirements for graduation are: Automotive Technology- Robert Anthony III, Tracy Savage, Matthew Pflueger, Charles Jourdan, Andrae Jordan; Bio-Medical- Ryan Hickman, Robert Neeley, Randy Bland, Kevin Mitchell; Business Systems McKenzie- Kayla Glover, Sandy Page, Jessica Hanks, Theresa Horton, Constance Tansil, Seneca Williams, Reba Austin, Elizabeth Todd; Computer Information- Catherine Cantrell, Jonathan McKinney, John Mitchell; Green Electronics- Tammy Holley; HVAC/Refrigeration- Richard Wright, Gary Staggs, Kila Palmer, Danny Scott; Industrial Maintenance McKenzie- Chastity Curry, Dereck Seavers, Kenneth Beckham, Michael Trull, Reginald Cozart, Michael Turnbow; Industrial Maintenance Dresden- Ronald Hammer, Eric Henderson, Jason Wilson; Machine Tool- Derek Box, Dustin Mann; Welding- Alexander McCauley, Martez Hampton, Zeb Robinson, Jonathan Gillespie, Donald Ivy, Ean Grebe, and Jacob McClain.

Four students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Honor Society inductees include Charles Jourdan, Tracy Savage, Theresa Horton and Dennis Ogden.

Eight students were recognized for achieving perfect attendance during the Spring Trimester. Those receiving Perfect Attendance certificates were Larry Eaton, Teresa Cary, Theresa Horton, Bradley Stafford, Howard Webber, Richard Wright, Gary Staggs and Michael Warren.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in honor of the graduates and their families.
