TTC McKenzie Brings Home the Gold
Six students at the Tennessee
Technology Center at McKenzie brought home awards at the National Skills USA
Competition.
Chrishanda
Ridley and Randall Adkisson of McKenzie and Jason Wylie of Kenton placed third
in the Community Service Contest event. Jimmy
Tosh of Union City and Mark Baucom of Kenton placed first in the Sustainable
Solutions event. Joseph Redmond of
Bradford placed 10th in the nation in Electronics.
Skills USA is a national organization serving teachers, high school, and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations. SkillsUSA programs
include local, state and national competitions in which students demonstrate
occupational and leadership skills. At
the annual national-level Skills USA Championships, over 5,000 students
competed in 87 occupational and leadership skill areas.
